For the love of all Gods, please don't flame, I've never seen people get so tightly wound as to what OS they use. That in mind...
I'm going to be trying to dual-boot into both XP and Linux, the thing is that I really don't have any idea as to what distro to use. Most of the popular ones have been proven to work on this thing, so that isn't a problem. I'd just like to know if one comes with more oomph than the rest, or is easier for a newbie while still maintaining functionality for when I'm more experienced. So... your thoughts? |

Xandros is one that looks interesting, however it has always been RedHat that I've used.

I like mandrake a lot, gentoo is very good, I have heard very good things about suse.
For distros that you do not have to install I really like Knoppix and phlak. I love mandrake the best I have found it to be the easiest one to install and use. |
