"I have eyes, and once did see. But now I am white, and empty."

Here's a good one:

A man lives on the 21st floor of an apartment building. On sunny days, he takes the elevator to the 15th floor, then walks the rest of the way up. On rainy days, however, he takes the elevator all the way up to the 21st floor. Why?
