Sadly his image is so damaged that this may not sell well good or not. Well least Sega's trying to save him. Even though the only way to do this is to suspend the franchise for 50 years (most of the fanbase would have moved on by then). And try again. Or give up on it and promote only classic remakes since Mario's image can't be broke (he's too simple to get horribly wrong more the 1 in a row).
