I am so glad to know that I'm not the only one this happens to.

With me, it's creepy, as I'm pretty antisocial (you can tell because I joined this forum) and not particularly outgoing. And yet in my first year of university, pretty much everybody in my halls of residence knew who I was. I barely knew anybody outside of my flat.

And this had been happening for years. "Hey, you're [Green Spanner] aren't you?" I have heard more than once.

Goddamn, I'm a crotchety recluse. How do people keep knowing about me?
