Recycling a wooden mug into a... doorhandle is a pansy elf idea. Recycling a table into a shield is a pansy elf idea.
Re-purposing the magma that fell on the earth from our "magma shower" so that we can use it for a death-pit (or something else involving magma, and the horrible death of whoever sieges us) is a brilliant idea from your resident strategist (ME).

Besides, I have no idea if we have smelter yet, but I can assure you that smelting looted armour is an excellent way of bolstering out metal supplies. Recycling, in other words.

It's all good to be a beer-swilling, homicidal, psychotic dwarf. I'm all for that; as a matter of fact, it's been long due we drank something together, Captain, but innovation is long due in our ways.
