Hey AB, are the Electric and Water Absorbers susceptible to Overload and Short, respectively?

Also, I forgot to link Nagarai's profile to Pierce's profile so you can check her stats for the purposes of damage calculation and whatnot. I did that now. And I also linked Enmakki's profile.

Anyway. Gem, I'm thinking once the Absorbers are back online, we should dedicate Nagarai and Allegion or Rachel to Overloading them. All of them. See, we know that Lexhur can use different elemental types. If we Overload the Fire and Dark Absorbers (and the Steel one too if somehow we don't destroy it this turn), we can neutralize some of his attack types, or at least make him waste some actions to destroy the Absorbers.

Y'know, Bard's post got me wondering. Do the Absorbers take the element they absorb? Like, is the Dragon Absorber Dragon-type and takes double damage from Dragon and Ice? Similarly, does the Steel Absorber take all of Steel's resistances? I'm not sure they do. Because it'd be rather stupid for the Dragon Absorber to take double damage from Dragon if it's purpose is specifically to soak up Dragon attacks.

I don't like it, but it'll become necessary, won't it? Yeah, sure. Let's dedicate Nagrai. Allegion too, for as long as it lasts, but I'm hoping it dies quickly. I want Applesauce.

And I'd imagine the Absorbers simply resist the type they're supposed to absorb, without weaknesses. Like Slayers, with just one armor type.

Oh, and after Impact's sidequest he could totally have a mental battle with Enmakki over Pierce's mind.

Yeah, I want Applesauce too. But I don't know how things will turn out. We may need Allegion to keep the Dragon Absorber locked down permanently with Thunder Crush. We don't really know how much it takes to Overload an Absorber.

Plus, Pierce told Dormond to heal Allegion.

Hm. If we make someone retreat, can we have Shizuka enter the battle as well as keep Allegion on the field? Of course, then there's the matter of who to pull back. Dormond, maybe? Or Kiyomi, but then we may want her Signature Sequence with Mika.

Oh, Enmakki doesn't really have mind control. It may be able to plant suggestions in people's heads without them knowing, but nothing outright. That'd be too easy.

Still, I imagine it could at least prevent Impact from controlling Pierce.

There isn't going to be any Electric and Water Absorbers, but if they were ever deployed, they'd still be affected so long as they couldn't absorb it.

The Absorbers aren't Pokemon, so they aren't affected by type advantages and whatnot.

And you can have someone else open a vacancy so Shizuka could fight directly.

Maybe I'll take the whole force-deployment system away. It just doesn't seem like a good idea anymore.

Well, it's not so bad now. Since everyone has one legendary, tops. Those die quickly. But yeah, it could get ridiculous when we get a whole bunch more.

How are you going to explain it, though?

If we pull Dormond back, could he still act as a pure support NPC?

It makes sense, thematically... Though it really does decrease our versatility. I think it's allright for trainers, but maybe give the Kimonos the ability to keep their mons confined. That'd be easily explained by, y'know, kimonos are half-demons. And when the rest of us goes half-demon, we could abandon force-deploying altogether. Let's have... Dormond retreat. After he's used his uber-technique.

Technically, I got 2 now: Shaymin and Mollesk.

Plus, the force summoning also includes psuedo legendaries, which includes several of Pierce's pokemon.

Gee, really? I hadn't noticed.

But it doesn't bother me so much since two out of three of Pierce's pseudo-legendaries are great against Ruin Generals anyway.
