You didn't quit but you did miss the point.

Fifth's thread was derailed, as threads with little to no substance are wont to be. The thread's subject became fifth himself, after Nique made a joke likening fifth to an out of control celebrity. Fifth makes a separate thread for the new topic. The moderatorial staff, namely POS, decided that maybe two threads (considering the first one was pretty much permanently derailed by that point) dedicated to fifth wasn't going to work out so well so he remerged them. Rather than go "Hey dude I was for serious trying to get that first thread back on topic that you couldn't tell was supposed to be remain on topic because I do stupid shit with my thread tags for lulz" fifth went "Naw fuck dat shit I'mma make that thread again because I'm cool like dat." POS decided that fifth needed to learn how to interact with the mods and that repeatedly doing the same shit that is obviously not kosher with no explanation was worth a 1 day temp ban.

Now, fifth's ban expires and he decides to remake the thread. Rather than give him another ban, we decide to simply close the other thread down and use this one for opinions regarding fifth, wherein only one opinion is offered (Fifth's not funny anymore and he needs to tone it down) and he goes off his rocker again, condemning shiney and the rest of the mods blah blah blah.
