True, but the accusation is thrown around so often that the power has been taken out of it. It's no longer worth the effort of actual trolling if all you have to do to get the same results is express a dissenting opinion.
For instance, I have no desire to troll. Anything I post is for the sake of discussion, not reaction. However, because of my conservative stance and religion I'm considered a "troll" on a lot of message boards, particularly the ones dealing with the arts (CG graphics, music, etc.) and sciences (in my case programming, as I'm not active in many other forums).
So if I wanted to become a troll I wouldn't have to do anything different. Just keep being the rare dissenting voice in a lot of conversations.
