I hear that Castlevania: Harmony of Despair is pretty good. It's an online multiplayer Castlevania where you play as one of any number of protagonists from across the entire series. There is extremely little story. It's really just an excuse to go bopping around various chapters based off the more iconic bits from the previous games.
And yes, it does lead to a weird time-paradoxy thing where Soma Cruz can wind up with a Dracula soul in his arsenal. Apparently, there's some grind, though. Probably less if you don't play as Soma. |

Get Journey. It's short, but beautiful and amazing and the multiplayer component is brilliant.
