I intend to join both tournaments. I don't care how well I do for either.

I think we ought to start with 1v1 tournaments, and then based on the results of that we could start arranging teams. We could pair things up so there aren't any teams which could dominate everyone else.

One question: Is the casual tournament going to be stock or time? I didn't see that mentioned.

There might be some problems with team play online, I've noticed that the game becomes very laggy when playing against 4 people. Problematic enough that it's hard to play and sometimes you end up jumping or attacking when you didn't want to resulting in unfair deaths. I think 1v1 is the best way to do things unless you guys have better luck with 4 people than I've had.

1v1 time is obviously lame, but I love time if there's 3 or more players in a given match.

It isn't really that laggy, actually. I played the day before yesterday about three team battles With Anyone without any lag at all. The problem is that Nintendo's servers have been hammered since yesterday, so it's become a lot more difficult to get anything running smoothly. It happened with Mario Strikers and with Metroid Prime Hunters, so it should be fixed by this weekend.

On the Smash Ball thing: Really? Is there a "Very Low" setting? Maybe we'll use No Items or just a handful of random items. I'll figure it out, I should have a wii this Thurs.

I'm in for both. Please do put smash balls in, the lower setting sounds like a good
idea to me. I'm pretty sure you can set it up in Item Switch.
