Do you mean Edge the awesome ninja or Edward the spoony bard? Both of them are weak pussies in defense but at least our cool ninja has lots great skills that makes him more useful in some fights than Cecil and Kain. Edward the spoony bard totally sucks, except in high levels he makes decent damage but this is only if you have FFIV Advance version.

//Oh yes forgot, to mention that funny comic again as usual. Seems that 6 main original characters (or jobs) from FFI die opposite order they appeared in the comic, so is WM next?

Sorry, I was talking about the Japanese version of the game, where his name was Edward. (It was a mistranslation, you know. The bard was actually called "Gilbert" and the currency "Gil" is even named after him. For some reason, they gave Gilbert Edwards name and shortened his own name.)

Yeah, that's what happens if you're in love with Japanese originals.

Only the ONE redhead who is constantly annoying him seems to be indestructible.
Al Bundy has a similar problem.

If Muffin has Swallow Whole and eats Red Mage, they could actually defeat her. Assuming her gullet doesn't auto-regenerate like so many other creatures with Swallow Whole, Red Mage, dealing 3D4 damage per turn to the interior of her body, could easily break free of the confines within 3 turns (judging by the average internal HP of other creatures with swallow whole) and the deadly gaping wound would kill her a few turns later.

They might have a shot.
