Arcanum Darkfire and Lazy Man are approved. Normally in their case, I'd have their characters fight to the death and pick the one that wins, but between Alexander's speed and always-within-reach arsenal and Asche's human/demon duo with rage greater than the sum of their parts, I'm not exactly sure which would win.

Two more profiles and I'll go ahead and start.

Name: Scott Sincair

Age: Alive 27-Dead 12

Weapon:
Revolver: He started using it because he loved the mechanics of the gun, and after long enough it just became his standard. He isn't great at using it, but ever since he came back he found he has gotten better.

Race: Former Human Revenant.

Battlefield Specialization: A quick thinker with versatile potion work and capable engineering skills he is best put in the back where he can toss his potions when the heat is on. The nonoffensive potions can be used in both healing and buffing purposes if needed. He works well with locks, traps, and complex contraptions. He also has a McGyver-esque ingenuity capable of jury rigging a trap or weapon at a moments notice without much to work with.

Abilities:
Alchemical proficiency: Alive or dead Scott had always had a particular skill with potions and enchantments. While he needs long periods of time and a very well stocked lab for enchantments some of the most basic of potions can be made rather easily in the wild, though it is better in a lab. With this he can make offensive potions like fast spreading fire, burning acid, and fast freezing complexes. He can also make potions of healing and buffing if necessary.

Engineer: Scott had never really been an inventor when it came to tech, but he understood the intricacies of how it worked and could repair and put together the things with the right tools. Such that when he sees a well made lock he has an understanding of how to get through it, and when confronted with traps he can typically look to how to remove and recover the thing to use for late.

Improvise: If he runs out of potions, has them taken from him, or if he just wants to make a very special situation Scott can come up with a complicated plan or thing from what he sees around him.

Revenant: His body is just the shell that holds his soul. Typical healing doesn't affect him correctly. He tends to come back from injuries over time. He is a bit easier to turn than some other undead if you confront him with how he died(with an item, not with a story) and anything that hits him that hurts him in the same way he died will hurt him more than usual.

Appearance: His skin is a strange mixture of a light gray and brown as he became just as pale as he could achieve after death. In the wrong light his skin seems to revert to terrifying burns. His eyes have glazed over to a pure white, his hair is long and black and frayed in a way that seems to scream mad scientist. Other than a pair of white gloves and a holster his clothes seem to vary from day to day. He typically is seen with a large bag that carries tools and any potions he has with him at the time.
Personality: He tends to act as a rather pleasant individual with a strange detachment from his humanity. As in to say in conversation he will speak of rather regular things, such as the kingdom, new advancements in science, other popular topics, but he also shows off that he has trouble realizing right and wrong when he attempts to interrogate a commoner by freezing his leg and shooting it off then eating some of the remains. Though for the luck of his companions he does realize he shouldn't do that to them.

Backstory: About as long as Scott was alive he was afraid of death. There was no if, ands, or buts about it death was his greatest enemy. he would sit as a young child with his parents crying himself to sleep in his bed believing the reaper was coming for him in his sleep. So he found himself deep inside alchemical study to try to find a cure to death, or a key toward immortality. A bit of a jerk when it came to being trained he ran through more than one apprenticeship and journeyman works before he became a self made master. He began a deep and in depth study of the undead that possibly could have lead him to the answer. Unfortunately his lab had an unfortunate accident and he was killed in the resulting blast of chemical fury.

Though he was not ready to die.

Through force of will he willed his soul back into existence forcing himself back into the burnt and battered body he had left behind. He found himself dragging the ragged thing back, breaking into another alchemical lab to repair the body as best he could. he did the best job he could but the very memories of the death are sometimes enough to let you see how he used to look.

When the alchemist came home he saw Scott and for any odd reason or another broke down immediately and told him about how they had set up his accident to get a hold of his studies of immortality which he had refused to sell. Scott had been slightly suspicious of this fact and decided he would rather like to have them all dead, starting with that one. He ended up taking a long trek through the alchemists of his town, and with every devoured corpse he found himself a little closer to his revenge.

Eventually there was the leader of the conspiracy. He wore a ring that personified all of his studies, it consumed the life of dead souls to power his immortality. Every time he should have died another soul was erased from existence. Of course Scott knew this and soon enough removed that finger(and the ring seeing as, as long as it was attached to one of his appendages it would still effect his soul), killed and ate that man.

It seemed unlife was about to end but spurned the entrance into the next world. He hadn't come back for revenge to begin with, and he wouldn't leave even after he had gotten a sort. He took a moment wondering if he ought use the ring for a true immortality, though he found it wasn't as perfect if he could do what he just did to that man and scrapped it in an alchemical purge machine. One grand explosion of negative energy and he was gone still looking for a better immortality. Till then being undead would just have to suffice.

Name: Soan Spirare

Age: 21

Weapon(s):
Sword: A well made, sharp blade that Soan is not very good at using, to be honest. The weight and balance throws him off, lowering his swordsmanship skills significantly. This sword serves only as a distraction from his real weapons, and to make him look cool. If he draws it in a fight, it's a fight he's not taking seriously/going all out in.

The Wind Blade: Soahn's real weapon of choice, a high quality air-blade he summons with a flick of the wrist. Normally a symbol of high rank in the Mithholme mage guild, no one is quite sure how he got his hands on one. Some say he saved the life of a guild master somehow. Some say he stole it. A few people say he won it off Master Shara in a drunken bet. These people tend to end up hospitalised by a mysterious assailant, coincidentally while Master Shara is in the area.
The wind blade is in essence, a sword made of harnessed wind magic, able to slice through materials with razor sharp precision. It appears as a glowing sword, white in colour. Weight and balance aren't an issue for it, hence his difficulty using an actual sword. It also functions as a focus for his type of magic, his spells are stronger if he's holding it. Suffice to say, if he summons this sword in a fight, he's going all out.

Reflect Bracers: A family heirloom, wrist bindings made with the shell of a reflector beast. They have the power to forcefully reverse flows of magic on contact, but have to actually touch the spell in order to do so, requiring no small degree of dexterity and speed on Soans part to do so. They only provide minor protection against big area spells however. Potentially enough to survive an absolute devastation type spell if he goes all out to the point of passing out afterwards (To date he has done this once). Naturally this defence doesn't lend itself well to attacking an opponent at the same time.

Race: Human. How dull.

Battlefield Specialization:
More of a Melee specialist than anything else, Soan tends to use his magic to stir up a dust storm then rely on his ability to read the winds to tell him what his opponent is doing. If the fight has proven itself to be a big deal he needs to take seriously he'll summon the Wind Blade, otherwise he'll either go unarmed or with his sword. Despite being a primarily melee fighter, his constitution isn't far off the human average, and if he takes too many hits he'll go down hard. It's also hard for him defend himself and attack at the same time if anything interrupts his speed, or manages to keep up with him. A magic user that manages too keep up some distance between him and them will cause him significant trouble.
He *can* Start using big spells with lots of collateral damage, but will only do so in an unpopulated area, or if the situation reaches 'world in peril' level on the dire scale. Without these he tends to suck at range.

Abilities:
Speed: Soan is faster than he looks. When boosted by air magic this grows to nearly ridiculous levels. He still has a normal humans reflexes and almost the same senses (see below) but his body movements are much faster. (Approx 10 x a normal persons)

Flight: He's an air mage, even the lowest ranked among their kind can at least hover. Soan can cover twice as much ground by flying as he can by foot. Pretty damn useful in combat.

Melee combat: Soan is *good* with the Wind Blade. In combat he's incredibly agile and uses minor air magic to obscure the battlefield as best the situation allows. More than once enemy's have dismissed the goofy air mage only to find themselves lost in a fog and cut to shreds before they know what's happening.

Reading the wind: Normally a latent ability, Soan can read the air around him like a sixth sense. In his normal state this allows him to be aware of any moving object within a range of 30 meters, though without focusing it's mostly akin to white noise. Anything heading towards him at high speeds will get his attention though. Though dormant, it does allow him some form of sight when his vision is obscured.
When the Wind Blade is in his hands however, it acts as a focuser for the magic, allowing its range to extend over an entire battlefield and become much more accurate, allowing him to hear the words of people speaking a good distance away.

Air magic: His spell library is limited. While Soan has a few decent spells at a low level (the one that allows him to move so quickly, for instance) most of his spells are big type 'summon a tornado' stuff. While rarely used, his spells do pack a punch.

Appearance: Blonde, almost white short hair, dark brown eyes, average height. He tends to wear the light, breezy robes of the air branch of the Mages guild, and is always seen with his sword at his side. Generally he's seen smiling happily and acting like his age is still in single digits.

Personality: Most people consider Soan as “That idiot from the mages guild”. He appears immature and rather idiotic too almost everyone. This is how he likes it. Underneath all that the man is cool and calculating, rarely actually letting his true personality show. In general he just finds things easier this was. Plus acting like an idiot is pretty fun...

Backstory:

Soan was the son of a well known mage family, and ended up in the guild early on. Despite his natural talent for air magic he never picked up a love of studying and pretty much flunked every exam for promotion he got. It was only thanks to his families influence that he even remained a member. The high expectations took their toll on the young boy, and he quickly realised that the only way they'd ever leave him alone was if he acted like a complete idiot until they went away. The habit stuck.

In an exasperated attempt to get the boy to learn, his father took Soan into the family library and attempted to teach him some of the most powerful spells in their possession. His father was a scary, scary man, and like all kids his age Soan had a natural love of things going boom. So he learned, and quickly.
However, it turned out that high powered spells generally don't help in low level magic exams, and Soan was happy enough where he was not to press this too hard. Over the years he picked up a few minor spells (It was almost impossible not too), but mostly he worked on his swordsman skills (“Hey, swords are cool, man!”).

In later years Master Elemy Shara, a mage Soan had trained with in his younger days, decided to try to beat some skill into his head with personal training. This was going pretty damn poorly when the village they were staying in was attacked by a local tribe of hill giants. Shara was first to go to the towns defence, but she was soon overwhelmed when Soan arrived on the scene. He quickly beat the giants back using the spells his father had taught him, before a stunned Master Shara put an end to the threat.

Intrigued by the power Soan actually possessed, Shara began travelling with him to areas around the country with dangerous monster problems, testing him. Somewhere along the journey Soan ended up with her Wind Blade, though neither one will say how (Soan actually tends to panic when asked). The two became somewhat famous before guild buisness called Shara back to the capital, though rarely was it mentioned that Soan was the one with the most power.

And So Soan returned to his home guild hall in some obscure village out in the countryside, happy to get a break from all the monster slaying.

(Wow, that took much, much longer than I thought it would.)

Steel Shadow and Overcast're in. That's six, I think, so I'm going to go ahead and get started. Signups are still open. People who wanted to set up profiles and everything are still allowed, of course. It's not like you all have to crash right into each other right away.

Sure, profiles are still allowed, and I'm still in position to accept them. There's no particular roles to fill.

Name: Taharial (or whispered under breaths as "the Cursed One")

Age: 36 years

Weapon(s): He carries a pair of mundane daggers upon his person, but his real weapon comes from the curse that he carries.

Race: He used to be human, and is still human in form.

Battlefield Specialization: Taharial is excellent at single target combat, so that he can focus the entirety of his curse upon a single body. However, he is also fairly competent at controlling the area of combat. Crowd Control. Only if there is vegetation, however. One on One, he melee poisons his targets until they are too debilitized to move or speak, or at dire times.... breathe.

Abilities: Toxic Attack - Taharial is a living conduit for poison. He _is_ poison. Even contact with his skin can be lethal, depending on circumstances. He has the ability to sprout a poisonous thorn from the middle of his palm to fight with, and as it digs into the flesh of his foes, it also fills their body with a virulent toxin. Each successive attack only makes it worse and worse. Undead and constructs are completely immune to his poison, as they don't have the same parts as living creatures do. At his most powerful, a grizzly bear would take around 3-4 stabs before it finally succumbed to the toxin.

Barkskin - Taharial has begun to take on some characteristics of a plant, though he is still a human, for all intents and purposes. His skin is greenish, with the occasional yellow tinge. His blood is thick and has consistency of sap, and any "bleeding" effect on him is largely negated, nor can he bleed out. He can die, sure, but not from blood loss, unless the damage is too massive. ( But then thats not really bleeding out, as much as being legless or whatnot ). If he has four hours a day in daylight, he can survive off of actual photosynthesis. No need for food or rest. Water, however, is a must. His flesh has become tougher and slightly woodlike, and he has a greater ability to soak and take damage then a normal human.

Natural Camouflage - Due to his strange markings and his ability to craft nature to his desire, Taharial is very adept at hiding in natural surroundings, as the very earth seeks to conceal him as well, bending plants to obscure the vision of hunters and other predators. Pointing him out in a forest is a very impressive feat, indeed.

Call of Nature - Taharial also has command over plantlife and non-magical flora. He never leaves trails in the wood, as the plants themselves cover his movements. He can aid or diminish their health, as he sees fit or needs, along with magically empowering their growth to amazing speeds and mutate them into needs that only he can imagine. While he cannot turn a blade of grass into a wall of wood... he could turn a venus flytrap into the horrible creature from "Little Shop of Horrors", and it be under his command. The change wouldn't last longer then a few hours, however, in its mutated state.

Appearance: As mentioned above, Taharial is a human, around 36 years of age. He is around six feet tall, and is of average build. His skin is greenish, and his eyes are a solid oaken brown. His hair has long since fallen out, and he actually has no hair on his entire body. He dresses in wraps, however, to conceal and protect himself and others. He uses earthen tones in the wraps, but they are not a singular color. Browns, blacks, greens and tans are all in their. Curled around his body loosely. The only visible part of him are his eyes, and the greenish skin that lingers around them. Anything else would be dangerous. Accidental contact with humans might actually poison them, and so the wraps are necessary to keep them safe. Over the wraps, he wears a cloak with hood, leather boots, a leather belt, and leather vembraces. Society seems like appreciate garb.

Personality: Taharial is a cautious man, above all, and makes sure he knows where everybody is around him, for fear of their deaths being on his head. His voice is even and firm, when he does talk to others. He is a kind individual, seeking to aid people however he can, even in mundane ways. Offering aid to a fallen mother, or recovering a toy for a child. He keeps his physical distance from people quite noticeably, though rarely speaks of the reason. Apart from his generous nature and his unwillingness to touch others, however briefly, it is his desire to cure his condition that drives him.

Backstory: Taharial (then called Liam) was the child of a farmer out in the boonies of the Mirthholme Kingdom. His father was a decent enough father, and from a young age, taught him the ways of the wild. How to sense changes in weather before it showed in the sky, how to feed and care for the animals in their care, how to rotate the fields each season to keep the soil fresh, along with many other activities that keep a farm running. Without a mother to raise him, it was tough, but they got by, the two of them. Life was good.

It wasn't until his 17th birthday that everything changed.

A few weeks prior to the event, while chasing a rogue animal into the nearby woods, lLiam came across a small band of nature worshipping mages (druids). They exchanged nervous greetings, and before Liam knew it, the entire night had been spent in conversation with these leaf adorned strangers. His father had spoken of these figures on rare occasions. "Walker of the Woods" and "Bringers of the Harvest" were some of the more colorful descriptors that were used. Night after night, Liam kept going out into the woods to continue the talk that had been abandoned the morning prior. He found his calling. He would join these workers of balance and be a druid. All that remained, was to pass their initiation rites. On the night of his seventeenth birthday.

Liam went out to the woods after everybody had passed out that evening... he was full of excitement and a sense of contentment he had never known before. He found a purpose he believed in. The Balance. The cycle of eternity. What happened that night, was never supposed to happen. To this day... Taharial doesn't recall the specifics. He does remember imbibing the specially prepared draught they made for him to drink. That he closed his eyes... but that is all. The rest is filled with pain. Screams. Blood. What Taharial does remember... was waking up in the morning, and being surrounded by a briar filled with thorns that seemed to drip with blood.

He voluntarily exiled himself that day to the far reaches of the wild. He knows... he feels that this is wrong. His poisonous skin, and how plants respond to his will without spells or incantations used, as the druids did. He seeks to cure his curse, and avoid humanity until then, as he is nothing but a danger.

A few years ago, some adventurers came tromping through his area blindly, and he watched them silently for a few days, until finally showing himself to them, and when they told him what their task was... how dire the circumstances was... he offered to join them. The battle was more then he'd ever thought, and several of the team died horrible deaths... but the land was saved, and in thanks, the survivors promised to never speak of where they found Taharial.

And assuredly that had been the case... until Taharial woke up with a female assassin looming over him. Now he is on the move. Heading on back to civilization. Somebody talked... and he doubts it was voluntarily. He wants answers.

Ehhhh, looks like I've run out of time to play multiple RPs...

And people kept shtealing my shticks!

I've got a character sheet written up (finally), but I guess I'll wait until later to post it, when my real life has died down some.
