I've found tthat teh Groundspike Graveyard Devastator is surprisingly effective against that boss proved particularly effective against Greene...which I found out after I had gone through a few rounds with it using the Tendril Devastator. I imagine the "Air" version of that attack would be a lifesaver in that fight.

I found the second Supreme Hunter to be a much more annoying fight. I beat that thing down by the skin of my teeth and a well-placed Apache throw.

It should be noted that I am a wimp and as such I played on easy, so the effectiveness of your tactics may vary.


For me, I think the part that I enjoyed most was bolting after the military made you, strike teams chasing you and everything. Running at full tilt, you turn a corner or jump a building and they lose sight of you. You have a split second to change form, and you manage to do it. My personal favorite time when I transformed into a soldier, just as I finished a quartet of marines turn the corner, so just to add to the part, I join them to "look" for me.

I don't know why, but running from the military was always fun.

I've taken to a rather Acrobatic style, I'm running circles around the fucker and Whipping her at every possible interval.

Dodging the green balls of death is a bitch, but it was all worth it when I charged right at her, jumped over while doing a fully charged attack and then turning around just in time to watch her fall over.

Then it was Blade air attack time.
Oh yes.

Oh, and I'm playing on Normal, Toast.

she had a tiny scrap of health left and so I go back at her with the same tactics, she ends up doing a blast wave just as I finish hitting her, which knocks me down to a tiny slither of health, I run for it down the road to avoid the Hunter squad. I pull out the Blade and start climbing the closest Sky Scraper, leap off the top and come down right on top of the Bitches head with an Aerial Strike.

Couldn't have asked for a better killing blow.

Fuck Greene, that fight was fucking annoying. The only thing I ended up doing was getting a Machine Gun and rotating around her until she died, which is ironically what I was doing against Supreme Hunter too.

Good game, totally enjoyable, has lots of problems. Writing isn't as good as I'd like, a few of the bases get entirely too many Infection Sensors later on, lock on and Dodgeroll are terribly programmed, and Hunters are just flat out not fun to fight.

Regular hunters are a blast, it's the better versions that are a pain IMO.

And that bitch is best taken out IMO by "borrowing" tanks and blowing her to bits from afar, then when she goes down rush with the blade or hammer fists.

Yeah the hunter leaders are annoying mainly where you have fight 2 of them at once during an defend mission. Basically if you stop fighting them for more than a second they gangbang the objective so it becomes a real pain to kill 'em. (Course I did this while mainly using military weapons so :stressed

They best way to deal with it is the aforementioned tank steal but I prefer to get in close when she's down with the blade for a little fun.

Shield--stops all damage until it gets hit by something big enough to break it, then it's dodge dance till it regens.

Armor--vastly reduces all damage forevers.

Ergo--Armor is the superior defense against heavy hitters while shield is best against gunners.

Not only that but shield actually deflects bullets instead of absorbing them. This means that a group of machine gunning douchebags will not only fail to hurt you, but kill themselves.

Also: You guys need the aerial blade attack. Kill hunters and tanks in one hit, and more powerful hunters in just a couple hits. Just jump up, charge it fully, and then go wild.

Yes but with shield instead of armor I can diveroll (even in armor I always tap diveroll instead of jump to dodge even when I can't) out of the hunter's stupid 10-hit stunlock combo and watch as they swipe on the air and then do the blade drop on them. So I end up taking less damage. Didn't notice the bullet deflecting shield though.

Blade drop is ungodly powerful. Also I'd just like to state that I finished off the last boss by just using blade's run and slice through technique 50 times because he was too slow to hit me and I ran out of helicopters to throw.

I've taken to using muscle mass + cannonball. I don't know how effective it is against Greene compared to some other attacks, but it only takes a few to destroy the parts so you can attack directly. The big problem is the green balls; you have to retreat, then come in and double sprint in mid air near it so they over shoot you and give you time to charge it up.

It's also really effective against hunters and helicopters - near the end of the game helicopters started taking more than one cannonball to take down, regardless of how long I charged it, but with musclemass active it still only took one. Hunters, one muscle cannonball puts them weak enough to consume, so you can just drop right in front of them after you hit them, grab and consume them. This is useful against Greene as well since a couple hunters follow you around wherever you go.

The supreme hunter will block it, though, even regardless of what he was doing a moment before.

Given that the air slam blade attack is even stronger than the cannoball, using that might be even better.
