when forced into a two dimensional, side scrolling reality both Necrons and Tyranids lose any semblance of cosmic maleficence and become relegated to being entertainingly one shot by either whip or plasma cannon.
By standard tabletop wargame rules, Simon and Samus get an army of thematically similar troops to face down the ravening hordes of sci fi no-goodness, and since the design shift of Games Workshop over the past decade which emphasises special characters (read: makes them cheesy as all fuck) they win, because Tyranids have no special characters in current game rules. Seeing as neither of these games series has been in 2d for quite some time I don't think we have to really take that in to account Funka. And Samus and Simon don't need backup anyway.
I think somebody once said that if you hired Samus to wipe out all the Tyranids she would merely ask when you wanted the job done by.

This has probably been done before, but in the interest of not looking back through like a hundred pages, and because it has come up in a discussion with friends recently--
In a battle of wits, without the interventions of any other characters with super powers, and with access to all the normal gadgets and assets available to them such as money and machinery, who would win: Batman or Lex Luthor? The Dark Knight Strikes Again! doesn't count for obvious reasons.

I'm a bit behind on my 40k though, so take this with a grain of salt.

Dante has taken on far more powerful things than Terminators before now. He's effectively fought near god-like entities, 1 several hundred metres tall and incased in near unbreakable magical armour and didn't break a sweat while fighting it, hell he seemed to be enjoying it.
He has a massive arsenal of weaponry, including an attache case that can become hundreds of demonic weapons and if opened kills everything. He can take on horde after horde after horde of demons, minibosses and full blown gigantic bosses and not take a single hit. If he does get hit then he can deflect any attack, and yes I do mean anything, including electrified floors, magicaly freezing ice and explosions. If he does get hit and doesn't block the attack then his regen keeps him standing, he's been shot in the head and run through with swords more times than I can count and not only did he recover (instantly) but often he acted like nothing was wrong, like having a massive sword sticking out of your chest was the most natural thing in the word (even going so far as to throw out a witty remark while impaled). And this is before he even activates his full blown devil power, which when active actually makes him immune to the effects of damage (he can still be injured, he just doesn't care) and his regen increases again. At his height he could summon massive dragons that could injured a hellgod and fought said hellgod while standing in a river of burning hellfire. Basically he regularly fights things that are on par with Avatars and non of them really faze him. So yeah, I reckon he could take on a squad of Termies.

Eventually, it's all going to come down to a straight-up fight, and when that happens, Batman will kick the ever-loving shit out of Lex Luthor. |

Thing is, Dante's immunity to damage as a demon doesn't apply to weapons specially designed to kill things that are demons and are resistant to convential whupass. Also Terminator armor is broken. I'm assuming since they come in squads of 5, that it's 5 on one, and that isn't quite the numerical advantage they'd need, but Dante wouldn't defeat them effortlessly. They'd scar him somewhere.
