I'd love to see Alexander for this purpose, but I'm not holding my breath at the moment. It would be a great one to give Hope (assuming they break the opposite sexes trend they have going) to salvage his character, but if not him, it's off to Vanille, where it would do no good at all. Well, it might be cool to give to Serah, but that puts more Eidolons than current cast, assuming Ifrit wasn't replaced outright.

As of yet, though, no.

I'm wondering if it transforms at all. The concept art lacks the mechanical look of the others and doesn't show any indication of articulation outside of what, say, a normal fox would exhibit.

You know, with Carbuncle coming out of a glorified CD, I wonder if they aren't putting in some sort of support summon system. It would explain why Carbuncle, Siren, and the concept art for Ifrit aren't mechanical like the main summons. Maybe they're item summons like Moomba and Phoenix from FF8. They might all be data stored on those discs, since there were so many discs were raining down, weren't there? That means that everyone not only has an Eidolon, but if you're controlling, say, Snow, and really need a fire summon, you can whip out the Ifrit CD and go to town.

This would be a neat concept. Having each character posses their own expecific Summon, and allow you to Equip others to customize your character. It does seem like a positive step to take.

Also... Vanille and Hope are the 2 Magic users in the game, right?

Oerba does not look like Rinoal!!
She does look a bit like a female Zack tough....but that's sort of cool.
I for one would like to see more tomboyish/"manly" girls in rpgs.

Vanille seems to be confirmed as a white magic-based character. Hope, they don't really have any word on yet, and the best they have is that he's good for "ranged damage." Then again, the same could be said for Vanille and Sazh, since that half of the cast uses boomerangs, guns, and an exotic whip.

I understand Fang's spear splits into two on occasion, though, so that's pretty cool.
