Starfox 64 3D gets a Japanese release date

Love that music.

I've heard the game will be easier simply due to the 3D effect giving the player a better idea of where they are in relation to everything else. Makes sense to me. Anyone else excited?

Has there been any word on Ocarina? I haven't been keeping score lately, what with the glorious Pokemon Generation V soaking up so much of my attention lately.

I'm leaning towards a simultaneous release, because they've been showing the US version off to a bunch of US based game news people, but I'm not 100% on that. If it isn't simultaneous, I wouldn't expect it to be too far behind.

Then I need to line up some dough/start getting my ducks in a row... I have at the moment the original brick DS (most durable handheld ever, definitely one of the last to have Nintendonium in the plastic mix), and a DSi (made the mistake of preordering the blue one - this situation will be rectified when I purchase the sexy black 3DS) and I bought my girlfriend a red/black DSlite (to free up my brick for Pokeman connectivity shenanigans; and it was about 50-60 USD under the going rate for used systems while still functioning like new, I couldn't believe it).

So we've been discussing, maybe taking her DSlite and putting that up, plus a couple games we don't play anymore, for a 3DS, and she'd get my DSi, because she likes to steal it for Doctor Mario so why not let her have it?

My only stipulation on that is I'm waiting until some games I/we might actually play come along. I was correct in assuming (verified by Game Informer) that pilotwings was just a snazzy tech demo with some cheap thrills on it, and none of the rest of the launch line-up appealed to me. Naturally, Ocarina and Starfox were at the top of the list, hence my asking.

Ocarina and Starfox are bound to be good buys, as will be Devil Survivor: Overclocked. The original version of Devil Survivor kicked all sorts of ass, and the remake has more story, better character portraits, and voice acting. I'm somewhat interested in seeing what the 3DS Splinter Cell game is like, as well as the Rayman title, the Super Monkey Ball title, and the Ghost Recon title. Especially that last one as it seemed to be grid based? Metal Gear Solid 3D will also probably be a must get for me when it comes out. Kid Icarus Uprising, of course, as well as the 3D version of Cave Story. There are probably a few others, but that's what I currently recall.

Wow, I had no idea half those titles were lined up, and I am suddenly finding myself even more on the 3DS side of the 3DS/NGP debate (of which to spend my hard earned monies on)

The Rayman, Monkeyball, Ghost Recon titles are already out, I think. Maybe the Splinter Cell one, though I'm really not sure as I don't have a 3DS yet, so I haven't payed tons of attention.
