Diary of Her Majesty Queen Mauve, Most Glorious Ruler of Workgil and Empress of All She Sees

The commoners seem to be attempting to "choose" a new leader based on popular opinion. Ohohoho! Silly commoners! What do their opinions matter? Are they Queen? No, they are NOT!

We are amused by the absurdity of the commoner.

Ah, but enough time has been spent pondering the mysteries of the Non-Royal Dwarf. Time for booze.

2ND GRANITE

The leader problem has been resolved, and thankfully without help from that "democracy" concept the commoners came up with.

We question the logic in putting a newcomer in charge of Our glorious fortress, especially one who works with trees instead of stone. But getting involved in such matters is beneath Us. Besides, "leader" is an empty title, really. We all know who the real power behind this fortress is! (Us.)

Also, in order to discuss this matter, We would need to consult that fellow with the book. And quite frankly, he creeps Us out.

4TH GRANITE

We fear the new "leader" may not understand how things work here. Particularly, the things involving Us being the true ruler of this fortress. We decided We must remedy this, and went about introducing Ourselves this afternoon, after taking Tea and Booze in the royal dining hall.

We are concerned about the lack of glorious opulence in said dining hall. We politely informed the woodworker of this, and added that a few statues here and there would add a nice touch to the place. Particularly the place around Our royal throne. Nothing too fancy, nothing too over-the-top... We want to impress/intimidate visitors with Our immense wealth and greatness, but we don't want to overdo things. It might make Us look bad.

Hopefully the newcomer can manage that simple task, and hopefully he understands who is Queen in this here fortress. (It is Us.)

Ah, it is a busy job, being Queen. However do We manage it so well?
